Because if your mom asks you to translate goofy sentences from Catallus about poets, philosophers, girls, and roses, at least you can do it while sitting on a ladder, and decorate the tree afterwards.

Yes. One of the many perks of homeschooling! Is C.Z. doing what my daughter usually does when I tell her I want a picture for my blog?? :-) I'm not familiar with Catallus(?) I also just noticed your post about Christmas Traditions. Looks very interesting...I'll have to come back later to see what yours are!
Well, sort of. I actually made a "rule" of not putting recognizable photos of C.Z. on our blog, because of her age and where we live. But these were just some I was taking for our scrapbook, and she either thought I was being silly and hid or just got tired of the camera and actually started studying--probably the former, though she really did do her work up there yesterday.
